Product images, colours and video covers

Connect media

1. Open the product in Shopify. Add images, hosted videos, external videos or supported 3D models.
2. Assign the matching image to each colour variant.
3. Check the gallery initially and after a colour change.

A video cover

1. Upload a Shopify-hosted video to the product media. Move it first to use media order as the cover.
2. Enable Play first product video on cards in Theme settings → Layout and style.
3. Optionally enable Use first video as product cover to promote the first hosted video without reordering media.
4. Open a collection and product page to check the result.

Playback

Card videos play muted when visible, pause offscreen and respect reduced motion and data-saving preferences. A manual play control is available. YouTube and Vimeo embeds work in the product gallery, but not as autoplay collection-card covers. A selected variant can show its assigned image. Keep films short and optimised. Do not describe a pan over a still photograph as live-action footage.
